Why a clean background matters
A plain background keeps the attention on the product and makes a catalog look consistent, even when the photos were taken in different places and at different times. Many marketplaces also ask for product images on a white background, at least for the main photo.
You don't need a light box or a studio. Take the photo on your desk or kitchen table, then let the AI separate the product from everything around it. Keep the result transparent to place it on your own design, or fill it with white in one click.
Tips for better product cutouts
- Use bright, even light so the product's edges are easy to see.
- Leave a little space around the product instead of cropping it tightly.
- Shoot on a surface that contrasts with the product, such as a dark item on a light table.
- Choose High resolution for products with fine details, like jewelry, fabric or plants.
- Turn on a white background before you download if your store needs a white backdrop.

Upload your photo
Drop a JPEG, PNG or WebP image (up to 20 MiB) into the editor above, or tap it to pick a photo from your device.
AI removes the background
The model finds the subject, whether it is a person, a product or a pet, and erases everything behind it. Pick Low, Mid or High: Low is fastest and caps the output at 1024 px on the long edge, Mid caps it at 2048 px, and High keeps the original size. The preset controls both edge quality and output size.
Download a transparent PNG or pick a color
Save a PNG with a transparent background, or switch on a solid background color first and download the result with that color filled in.
Product photo questions
Can I get a white background instead of a transparent one?
Yes. Turn on “Use solid background color”, choose White and download. The PNG will have a white background.
Can I process several product photos at once?
Not at the moment. SNIP.DO handles one image at a time, so upload the next photo after you download the current result.
